, formerly Composite Yacht Constructions, was started in 2000 by Swiss born carpenter and sailor, Roger Diggelmann. He has trained his team of Thai workers and over the years honed their skills to achieve a high level of finish and structural integrity in boats built for the local and overseas markets.
In 2011, he found a business partner in Australian boat designer, builder and sailor, Alan Carwardine, who had designed and built his own stealth performance sports boat and the first stealth catamaran. The stealth series is known for its stylish lines, large open living areas and easy access to side decks and the foredeck.
The undercover cockpit with minimal areas open to direct sunlight cleverly maximizes airflow like no other design of its kind. With the added advantage of excellent vision from the twin steering stations, it has functional sailing systems set up for short-handed sailing, making it a pure pleasure to sail. The stealth catamarans are truly refined design for tropical and sub-tropical boating.
For the past 3 years, Diab has been ASIA CATAMARANS’ sole, specialist supplier and manufacturer of sandwich composites. All components onboard an ASIA CATAMARAN are 100% high grade Divinycell foams, which help achieve a strong, lightweight product for the competitive marine market.
“When Diab foams became available in Thailand, it was the obvious choice for us because we knew all about Diab’s high performance products and the added value Diab brings with its technical support and so our partnership started,” explains Roger Diggelmann.
Everything is produced in a marked-up system making the logistics of building a high-quality performance catamaran less complex. D’s philosophy is to make their customers more competitive, while at the same time providing full support 24/7. “Price was not the main issue here, when we can gain so much from the personal relationship we have with Diab,” says Alan. Diab’s partnership with
is another reason that Diab continues to be a global organization with a solid local presence.
