Core materials for urban air mobility

Urban Air Mobility (UAM) is a new way of passenger and goods transportation that is developing rapidly. This emerging market represents the main innovation in the aerospace industry in decades. eVTOL will have a low carbon footprint thanks to the electrical propulsion and be a lot less noisy.

Lightweight composite materials are used in the primary structure of eVTOL aircraft, as well as in rotor blades, allowing it to fly maximum distance with minimal energy needs. UAV drones, for example, can be used to transport medical devices and medication to places with limited infrastructure.  Foam core materials also offers the most efficient way to produce complex shape of structure and increase passenger comfort in the cabin.
